His Excellency Seraya Ali Al Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, hosted a reception in the capital Dhaka on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar. The reception was attended by His Excellency Dr. Asif Nazrul, Advisor of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment of the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, senior government and military officials, representatives of political parties, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Bangladesh, in addition to businessmen, media professionals and a large number of prominent figures of the civil society. Qatar Airways, Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent also participated in the reception. The ceremony witnessed the screening of a short documentary film on the achievements of the State of Qatar. The attendees extended their greetings and felicitations to the State of Qatar, its government and people on the occasion of the National Day, wishing the State of Qatar continued progress and prosperity.

His Excellency the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Mr. Masud Bin Momen, met in his office today, Wednesday, 21/8/2024, with His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed.

His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani participated in the meeting of the Ambassadors of the member states of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Bangladesh with Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina, Honourable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. During the meeting, it was stressed that Bangladesh fully supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and condemns what the Palestinians are exposed to in Gaza. The meeting also requested to halt military operations and give priority to entering of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.
