H.E. the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Mr. Zahid-Ul-Islam met H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani at his office on Wednesday, 17/06/2026. During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed

The Qatar - Bangladesh Joint Committee on Labour held its 7th meeting in Dhaka, chaired by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al-Marri, Minister of Labour, and H.E. Mr. Ariful Haque Choudhury, Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment of the Government of Bangladesh. The meeting was attended by H.E. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination in various labour-related fields and explored the mechanisms to further develop partnership between the two countries.

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani attended the courtesy meeting held by the ambassadors of the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Dhaka with H.E. the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Mr. Tarique Rahman at his office. During the meeting, Their Excellencies the ambassadors conveyed the congratulations of the OIC member states on his assumption of the duties of Prime Minister, emphasizing the importance of strengthening joint cooperation amomg the OIC member states in all potential fields. The meeting was also attended by H.E. the Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister.

HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani met HE Mr. Ivo Freijsen, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Bangladesh. During the meeting, cooperation relations were reviewed and ways to enhance them across various fields were discussed.

His Excellency Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh, offered condolences on the demise of Former President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Mr. Liamine Zéroual, on 01/04/2026.
