His Excellency the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Mr. Masud Bin Momen, met in his office today, Wednesday, 21/8/2024, with His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed.

His Excellency the Honourable President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Mohammed Shahabuddin received His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani, at the Presidential Palace "Bangabhabhan" during his participation in the reception ceremony hosted by the Honourable President of Bangladesh to celebrate the 54th National Day "Independence Day" of Bangladesh which falls on 26/3/2024 . His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh Mr. Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani participated in the meeting of the Ambassadors of the member states of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Bangladesh with Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina, Honourable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. During the meeting, it was stressed that Bangladesh fully supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and condemns what the Palestinians are exposed to in Gaza. The meeting also requested to halt military operations and give priority to entering of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.

Qatar Tourism held a press conference on 16 April, announcing that the "Hayya" platform - initially used to issue visitor visas for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM - has become the platform to obtain all tourist visas to the State of Qatar.
